Between April and October we mainly take full week bookings of 7 nights from Fridays and occasionally from Saturdays for Brook House 2. From November to March or at other times of the year when there’s availability, we can be more flexible especially nearer the dates.

Please note: Short breaks and start dates other than Fridays are not always showing available on cottages.com so feel free to email us and we will always do our best to accommodate you in our cottages or those of a family member at the same location

Arrival/Check In –

From 4pm.

Departure/Check Out –
By 10.00am except noon on Sundays if it is a 2 night weekend.

Points to Note

• Most heating is by storage heaters, the cost of which is included in the rental charge as well as an initial supply of logs for the wood burning stove.
• Bed linen and towels provided.
• Laundry facilities with washing machines and tumble dryers are available in a central laundry room at a small additional charge.
• Cots and high chairs are available free of charge but must be requested in advance of arrival.
• We are 15 minutes’ drive from Keswick and Cockermouth, so it is a good idea to shop before you reach us especially if arriving late at night, or order an on-line shop.

Doggy Rules

• One dog is allowed provided all doggy rules are followed.
• All dog hairs should be removed before the cottage is vacated.
• Dogs are not allowed in bedrooms, upstairs or on furniture and must not be left unattended in the cottage.
• Dogs MUST be on a lead in any communal outside areas eg by the car parking due to the free range ducks and chickens.
• Any damage caused by dogs will be treated in the same manner as general damages and breakages.
• We advise bringing old cloths or blankets to clean the dog before entering the cottage.

Any other pet must be agreed before booking.
