If you have been looking for self catering cottages in the Lake District you have come to the right place.

Brook House Cottage Holidays are based in Bassenthwaite village, near Keswick and we are happy to provide lovely self-catering holiday cottages to those wishing to stay in this beautiful part of the Lake District.

Perfect Location

We can provide suitable accommodation for couples, families and groups. Our cottages are by a small stream which is home to many ducks. It’s a minute’s stroll along the stream to the village pub which serves meals and local ales. There are country walks in all directions or, for the more adventurous, fells and mountains including the might Skiddaw, Dodd or Dash Falls.

We are in the perfect location for walking, hiking, climbing, fishing, golfing and sightseeing! This means that you will have plenty to do while you stay here.

What’s on and things to do in Keswick.

There’s something for everyone in and around Keswick, Cockermouth and the Northern Lake District. Naturally there are numerous outdoors type events but there’s also plenty of festivals and other celebrations.

Adventure is high on the list as Keswick is the Adventure Capital of Britain and to celebrate everything adventure the Keswick Mountain Festival takes place during May of each year.

On foot, by car or even by Bus there is a vast area of this wonderful National Park to explore. Some is popular and sees many tourists whilst there are always places to be discovered that few ever seem to visit – ask a local to find out more.
